Has anyone done this and if so, did they have any issues travelling from UK to EU ?

Many Thanks.

I have without any issues I put the radio in my hand luggage, with a roll of copper wire for the aerial and the coax, auto ATU in my suitcase. I also had a few bits of cable, crocodile clips, etc. in my suitcase. emoticon

No problems what-so-ever emoticon They didnt even mention it.

I suppose in these terrorist-alert days it would be best to make your luggage obviouse rather than try to hide it, perhaps even offer it up for scrutiny.

Better than being discovered 'hiding' the stuff and then having to explain exactly why you tried to hide it...

Yes - I took it out with my laptop and told them what it was. No problem. They did spot the Kenwoood low pass filter in my hand baggage and asked me what it was. Good sign really that they can spot the unusual.

Mind you I damaged one of the buttons on my radio in flight. Suggest to anyone transporting theirs to take the bubble wrap as they can get whacked easily !!

Thank you for the pointers.
