Fantastic propagation for the first day of October, record temperatures here and great prop, the sun has really come out to play :0
Working Central America, WI and NA, 11m band is alive with DX

Re: 11m DX October 2011
Propagation lower today here.
So far we have the big guns from 3, 12, 11 and 34 div strong, but mostly EU calling. Some 43 div and 41 div but only low here.
Hoping for some NA later, still early there atm, and WI are low calling as well 122, 347.
Could be a good day, just needs a little extra lift

Re: 11m DX October 2011
Marvelous reception here today on the 555 from USA, NY clear as a bell and held for a good 20+ mins.
noteworthy is that my antenna (longwire), was not (nor can it be) tuned for 11m either, I can only imagine what it must be like for you guys with properly tuned gear!

Funny - All I got today (all day) was Russian sounding CBers on FM all over 27Mhz !!! ... Well done, and lets hope we start getting regular skip over the coming months.

Re: 11m DX October 2011
Seems like the propagation is to continue during the weekend
I just hope the wind dies down a bit, I cant use 11m properly when the wind is above say, 15mph and even thats a bit dodgy.
