confused!!! think my rig different!! i get 19 uk/fm on mid block 73, so this would seem that the real mid block is on low, high is mid , and high high is on high, 27.555 is 52 mid block (which is 41-80) does this make sense to anyone, and i cant hear a single soul on 27.555 probobly because my rig thinks it,s a fridge freezer!! help

OK this is confusing, but its fairly standard for that radio.
This is information from other sites that might help:
low is low, mid is mid and hi is just that...
low 26.515 to 26.955
mid 26.965 to 27.405
and hi 27.415 to 27.855
UK40 ch19 is 33/73 hi band.
Or
if it was a Multimode 2 mk1 or a concorde mk1
low 26.965 - 27.405
mid 27.415 - 27.855
s-high 27.865 - 28.305

thanks for help. 28.305 usb i recieved a test call last night , i was very faint but i could hear him so i have the latter rig, once i get the wire higher i can operate better,but what does this mean for me now, is this better or am i better off with somthing else , and how close am i to the hams, dont want to upset anyone, and i might think about some more power cos the guy testing said i was faint but this could be the wire i guess..........

I would think the wire is poor for ground wave contacts on this band. Not a good idea to go into 28mhz, but you're not likely to need that anyway. At least now you'll be able to find 27555 and experiment with some aerials etc.
