Foundation licence

Hi, I'm thinking of taking my foundation licence & this may sound a silly question but what bands are you allowed to use if you have a foundation licence, I looked on the net but cannot find out for sure what bands that can & cannot be used. I know that you can use 2m & 70cm but not sure about 160m to 6m.

PS. sorry if I have posted this in the wrong section.

  many thanks.

Hi, sorry That I did not get back to you as I have been busy today trying to sort out some interference on my HF rig, it turns out that it is my UPS, it is giving me 8/9 pounds of noise between 1.6 MHz to 7.3 MHz, anyway yes that site was very helpful that is just what I wanted to know.I have a radio & antennas all set up & should be taking my foundation course next month hopefully I will pass then I can talk to other people instead of just listing to them.

  many thanks.

Good luck with it emoticon

You're a bit away from me, but you never know emoticon

One really good thing about the foundation course, is it will help you understand QRN, QRM etc. And ways to combat it emoticon
