SEM Transmatch ATU

Antenna matching units do not come better than this.
They come in a variety of forms, some have an easy tune built in, some have 160 Meter capability, and some don't.
These matching units were built on the Isle of Man & are one of the finest balanced tuners going.
But a word of warning NEVER NEVER NEVER use more than 100 watts unless you want to fry it.
Oh & don't exspect your AEM to look like anyone elses these units were hand built using a variety of different knobs etc, so they do not all look exactly the same.

I would agree with this, my only issue is that for me personally I prefer built in swr. This really needs to be used in conjuction with a good meter. It does have a buzzer which sounds when you have reached 50ohms, a match, however it can be difficult to use this successfully, for me anyway.

But the quality is superb and when used with a meter it cant be bettered, ideal for use with a wire on the freebands emoticon

I still have mine, as its so good I'm reluctant to sell it emoticon But I dont actually use it any longer emoticon

I personally use all manual tuners all the time now & non of them have a built in SWR meter, the SEM, a KW Ezi tune which will handle my 500 watt linear with ease & a Nevada TM1000 which runs at a max of 1Kw.
I use a Avair AV-20 HF / VHF cross needle SWR meter most of the time, but I also have a couple of other decent SWR meters, one is a Diamond SX-200 & the other a Diawa, I also have a couple of rubbish MFJ ATU/SWR meters which I really ought to sell, as I never use them.
