Assuming 50% efficiency, the name and the actual measured output correlate pretty well. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Hot Fusion)Wed, 24 Feb 2010 21:08:38 +0000 Re: Diamond SX-200 SWR meter.https://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p12277,from=rss#post12277https://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p12277,from=rss#post12277 as standard the ' zetagi b300p ' has two 60 watt transistors ' mrf455 ' 60 and 60 is 120 so i guess 120 to maybe 150 if driven hard is about right, mark 163fb20nondisclosed_email@example.com (madmark1)Wed, 24 Feb 2010 20:43:09 +0000 Re: Diamond SX-200 SWR meter.https://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p11739,from=rss#post11739https://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p11739,from=rss#post11739Well this is an eye opener! I've got one of these and upto five mins ago thought it was a good meter It appears I was wrong In the past whilst operating I've left it in line all the time to monitor power output. I have a Zetagi B300P but with 10 watt input the reading on the meter would struggle to indicate anymore than about 120 watts. I'm not expecting the full 300 watts from the amp, It a Zetagi , but would expect more then the 120. So is it the meter? I have been told that that the meter only "sees" one half of the power envelope so when it showing 120 on the meter my actual output is in the region of 240 watts! I don't buy this but a little "clarity" would be nice. Thanks.    nondisclosed_email@example.com (maybach52)Sun, 24 Jan 2010 10:16:41 +0000 Re: Diamond SX-200 SWR meter.https://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p10252,from=rss#post10252https://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p10252,from=rss#post10252whaaaaat! ha ha ha nice one john!! you should make some! and sell them as average pep!!!! nondisclosed_email@example.com (rich 26fb456)Wed, 30 Sep 2009 21:24:46 +0000 Re: Diamond SX-200 SWR meter.https://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p10247,from=rss#post10247https://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p10247,from=rss#post10247A sort of averaging sort of delay sort of PEP !! I have a pile of dead ones (one of them is Dave's) they are easy to fix up but not worth the time or effort. rating 4/10 John193 nondisclosed_email@example.com (John193)Sun, 27 Sep 2009 23:24:10 +0000 Re: Diamond SX-200 SWR meter.https://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p9214,from=rss#post9214https://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p9214,from=rss#post9214I have knackered two of these, from a personal pov, I wouldnt buy another, they look and feel good quality, but the inards are crap and are prone to shorting, also be aware that these are badge engineered and not made by Diamond but someone else, and you will see this same unit with different names on BTW I have a broken one for spares if anyone wants it nondisclosed_email@example.com (yamanx1)Sun, 16 Aug 2009 14:38:12 +0000 Diamond SX-200 SWR meter.https://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p9212,from=rss#post9212https://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p9212,from=rss#post9212These are well made & reasonably accurate, but I like to have my meter in line all the time, so I can watch my SWR & power readings & with the Diamond that is not possible. But it does watch peak or average power out (PEP) which for a cheapish SWR meter is exellent. Frequency coverage is 1.8 to 200MHz, power handling is low at 200 watts max, but it has 3 power settings up to 5, 20 & 200 watts. This meter looks good in the shack, but personally I prefer my cheaper Avair. nondisclosed_email@example.com (crimso)Sun, 16 Aug 2009 14:31:12 +0000
