Re: Information for all FB DX group members

the problem with a 05 ending frequency over a 0 is that when the skip is on top form the 5 channels are that overcrouded that a qso is impossible and you need a bit of peace (trust me ive been on cb since 1976) i have actually been broadbanded on more than 1 occasion by someone on another continent!! ah the good ol days...

[sign in to see URL] is a good choice ' why ' well i to have some HF radios that i use from home but when i go mobile or i am sat in the works car park for lunch i also have the radio on, its a cobra 146gtl and sometimes i use the president mc' kinley, these radios dont have any kc shift and i dont really want to leave a full hf radio in the car on a regular basis, so [sign in to see URL] is a good choice, as for when there is prop running be it channels ending in 5 or 0 there are going to be stations using both.

Hello.
Wont the course/finetune give you the 5s you need?
I use a Galaxy Pluto, which supposedly has the same board as a SS3900,and i can tune with no gaps when used with the +10k switch.
I hope you understand this,im not a tech wizzard by any means, but when i am on triple 5 i can use fine/course switch and go from [sign in to see URL] thru to [sign in to see URL] withought touching the channel selector.
Craig.

Hi, Not so sure about [sign in to see URL], Guys tend to QSY about depending on the band shape, noise. As to 6670, some afternoons can be very active, just give a few calls and someone will come back to your call. There are alot of us that sit on 6670 and 86 meters. I will be on 45 tomorrow and sunday.

The "spark" is alive and kicking emoticon

27585 has, as you say gone by the by a little, problem is 11m is not so good for local contact and 30 div use 585 as a call frequency a lot of the time. Makes it difficult.

6670 though thats very active and 3470 as well. 6670 can be extremely busy during the afternoons at weekends and we generally have to qsy to another frequncy. Also with 3470, some evenings can get very busy.

Look forward to hearing you emoticon
