ft1000 classic

WELL i went from the ft990 to the ft1000d so very much the same radio but as lots more filtering ,extra vfo ,but the best bit is a full 220 wtts pep ,the only downside is it's not opened up to full rx/tx
if i can hear i can work it ,even in the big pile ups emoticon
a possable stayer in the shack.
unless that pro 3 i've been offered comes abit lower???? emoticon emoticon

Re: ft1000 classic

How to open up a FT1000d, very easy indeedy, no wires, diodes, transistors to cut or solder, dont even need to remove the lid emoticon

Switch off the radio

press and hold FAST + LOCK

POWER ON while holding FAST + LOCK

Press FAST + ENTER to get into the menu

Turn MEM/VFO CH to get to 9-x

Check 9-9 it may show 11 or uSA

Turn the VFO-knob to make the dial read GEn

Press Ent

Now you can transmit on 11meters or on [sign in to see URL] or MARS.

Hope that helps emoticon
