Re: Welcome to a new DXing group and Freebander Forum

Hi Im Rich from Australia. Found this great site by chance. I used to be a keen dxer some 10+ years ago, but now getting back into it again. Its winter here, and with the sunspot cycle at a low level,11m band is all but dead here. Some locals on [sign in to see URL], but extreme quietness on [sign in to see URL],etc. Our summer may see a little improvement, but i think il need to be patient for another year or two for some real action.
If anyone hears any stations from the pacific region in the future and wishes to qso, please contact me and we'l give it a try.
Im reasonably set up with a 4 el yagi and a yaesu 1000mp mkV.
I used to have the call 43dt067, but not sure if this still exists with me as a member, if not Il have to think of another call sign.
cheers

hi rich and welcome to the freeband site. you could always get a foxtrot bravo callsign rich, just have to wait for Dave(head admin)to come back from his holiday. I'm sure Dave got into 43 division a couple of months ago, he usues a beam. Conditions have been up and down but i think they are only going to get better and more intresting. welcome again and hope you decide to get a freebanding callsign emoticon
