Wanted classic teardrop 575 m6 Astatic microphone
Wanted the classic teardrop microphone from Astatic, 575 M6
I know, I know, but I have tried to buy several from here and elsewhere and not been quick enough or rich enough
It seems those that have these, either collect them or want to keep them, no worries, but some of you guys have some kicking around doing nowt You need to let them free !
Its like seeing a Manx Norton or a SP America in a museum, they need to be up and running, no point in having these great things in cupboards, on plinths, or for viewing only Ride the bugger

Neuralgia, did you say??
Seriously, great unit that I seem to remember everyone wanting in the late '70s.
I think it was that one, anyhow...

Re: Wanted classic teardrop 575 m6 Astatic microphone
I have three but they are not in your price range let me know if you find one for £40.00
You can buy one from the us on e-bay for less than £40.00 but you need £40 for the postage
Best of luck

Re: Wanted classic teardrop 575 m6 Astatic microphone
HE HE HA HA, I got one but it's all mine!, in fact I got an original teardrop and original D104-M6B minute man, an 1104c astatic desk mic and the silver eagle desk mike.
99% of my mics are all made by Astatic. I might wire that minute man up for the Kenwood soon, I don't like the Silver Eagle desk mic so much though, too toppy treble and it over drives the modern rigs, i'm sure it comes into it's own though on older equipment and AM stuff, and I don't like the style so much.
The teardrop is an ace mike which I think has a cult status nowadays, but the 2nd hand prices are more than what it would cost to make the thing, anyway hope you get one to play about with soon.
