Cobra 148 Gtl Dx mod info please

Hi gday all,new to the forum,I have a cobra 148 gtl dx mk2 which I am in the process of modding there will be six bands via a new six band switch I have the conversion details via the relative diode links to the ic6 and ic7,this will give me the lo lo and hi hi.
I want the radio to go from I beleive super super low, super low, low, mid-the fcc channels and high being the uk 27/81 band, this will of course have the neccessary eprom and super high I think thats the six bands.
Is this where a standard six band cobra conversion is suppose to go.
Can someone then supply me with the conversion info ie how many diodes to which pins of the corresponding ics.
Or the correct way to do a six band conversion on a cobra 148 gtl dx mk2
Many thanks in advance .
Coppernob-Roger.

Always good to work in frequency but think channel 1 double low would be [sign in to see URL] to [sign in to see URL] channel 11 or 11a double high for coverage of 11mtrs - thats in old numbers readout, if a persons got an eprom for uk40 that would be channel [sign in to see URL] the cobra covers that with the mod you've got in mind but anymore than that id think it would be a bit deaf at top and bottom of [sign in to see URL] loads of mods out there for the cobra though so google search it if you have no [sign in to see URL] cant help with the tech stuff regards 26FB1010

Cheers for the link madmark now subscibed, what i'm after is the conversion in detail I have the mod for low low and high high apparently you can get another 30 channels on two bands but it doesnt show how to wire them.I would if possible like to know where to mount the 1n148 diodes when i add them to the correct pins of adder Ic 6 or [sign in to see URL] six band mod I beleives has a freq spread over ie certain freqs spread over from one band to another.
So mark what Im after is an idiots guide to the six band coversion,I am a licensed advanced holder so i'm use to the soldering iron, and the shack is very well equipped with test gear.
This will be the first mk2 conversion I will have attempted.
Please email me if you can help.
Best regards-Roger.

Hi roger, the standard 6 band mod takes the radio from [sign in to see URL] to [sign in to see URL] and if you do the 10 khz shift mod there really arnt any gaps, most PB010 boarded radios will do the entire span with out any problems with the VCO locking a And power and recieve is still good, i will scan the info and send it via e-mail.

My e-mail is gw0wvl@[sign in to see URL]
