Taking a SWR reading on DX-5000 radio using the built in function

Guys,

Bit of advice if you can help guys,

According to the maunal, to SWR the DX-5000

you set it to FM channel 20 D band and take the reading aiming for as close to 1 as possible ( easy so far lol)

having converted to 11 mtre and reset the frequencies via the cable and software this means the original frequencie at channel 20 is now not the same as my programmed frequencies.

My questions are ,

Do you SWR on a particular frequencie or carry out the process as you would , as per the manual, on channel 20 , changed frequencie or not changed frequencie,

Do you still take 3 readings ( as in the old days) on channel 1-2-40 aiming for as close to 1 as possible?

Many thanks for putting up with my "L" plate questions

Daz

Use the frequencies you are going to TX on, say 27550 for instance as the centre. (Dont use 27555 as keying up on the calling freq is not good practice emoticon

You cant calibrate on SSB, use FM/AM but the frequency can still be 27550 emoticon
