antenna matcher/swr/power meter.
hi, i just bought a matcher/swr meter/power meter and would like to know how to use it, i have got "good" swr allready but will need it when power/ssb happens!. i understand and have used the swr part[matcher switched off] but am confused when its on, how/what to do with the tune and load switches, thanks unclejessie, yee haa

i personally would not bother with the matcher, just tune your antenna good so you dont need to use it. the tune and load have to be adjusted until your swr reading is as low as possible. matchers are mostly used for antenna that are out of tune or wont swr to the frequency you are using. just tune your antenna really good so you dont need that bit

thanks! on the plus side it lights up and has two meters etc[just cant get enough of these gadgets!] big push now to have base station up and running for easter, got legal fm sorted in car but no one at all to talk to[exept my two mates on a saturday in the yard]!!

loves a lit up meter does pad,, lol. i'm stil watching ebay for a decent meter i got swr but need a power meter
