Re: FB Calling frequency
Right,27.460 is going to be in memory 1 on my Magnum 257,which i will install in the wagon tomorrow.
I have been playing around with it at home today, got a tank whip on a strong mag mount, and a temporary power supply of a car battery from the local scrappers.
It gives me the option of leaving it in the wagon,or bringing it home on a weekend.
A 10-12 amp psu is now needed, before i flatten the bloody battery.
PS.- this thread should be on the first page,so every FB member can see it,ive only just come across this and ive been on here for a good while without knowing.
Craig.

Re: FB Calling frequency
So true.
I have started shouting when i switch the rig on,but havnt heard anybody as yet.
I will keep using it,as it wil be used for other DX groups to call for us i suppose.
Its a good feeling when other FB members are getting the contacts, buit also a bit confusing.......read on.
I heard an interesting station call on triple,so i called back "Fox Bravo Seven Nine Mobile standing by".....then he shouts "i hear a Fox Bravo, come back with your full call sign"... so i did, only to find he heard another FB member that i didnt hear.
I felt happy for the other FB unit HONEST.lol
Craig.
