Mars/cap mod???


is this what they call widebanding? most the radios i se on ebay i then search them on google to se how easy it is to get them widebanded, i keep coming across mars/cap mod what is it??

I'm not sure what frequencies these are but I've read they are either side of 40 and 80m slao some 60m and VHF frequencies as well. I'm not certain that a MARS mod will TX throughout the HF range ?

CAP is Civil Air Patrol
