Your host, 26FB001
Hi,
Just to introduce myself, I'm an old hand at freebanding although I havent been involved in it for some years, I have decided to get back into it.
Also into motorcycle racing and narrow boats.
I will be transmitting from my boat wherever possible so you might hear me on the air waves, mobile from the canal system!

Re: Your host, 26FB001
Hi, I'm Steve from somewhere near Leominster, Herefordshire.
I've just decided to get back into CB after 20+ years. I notice it is pretty dead now which is good in some ways.
I haven't been active yet as I'm just sorting out some gear. So far I have:
Stalker-ST-9F-DX (expanded to 26.065-28.335Mhz)
Cobra 148GTL AM/SSB (not DX but expanded to cover upper frequencies)
Midland 78 Multi (expanded 25.615-30.105Mhz AM/FM)
Mustang CB100 (stock)
Cobra M75 powermic.
Sirio ML145
Zetagi B153 Linear Amp 40/80Watts
Zetagi TVI filter
The shack is nearly complete (although I will be mostly mobile). I'm in the planning stages of building a base antenna. I might just go for a simple dipole.
I am in the uk six months of the year for the summer and six months in Brazil.
I have never used cb in Brazil but if I can take my Cobra 148 (it has the legal Brazilian frequencies 26.965-27.605Mhz AM/SSB) sideband at 12watts is legal in Brazil.
I hope to hear you guys on the airwaves soon.
Oh, and if you use CB my handle is Fubar.
