Gorgeous looking set emoticon

Al has some experience with these.

I've had little, apart from on the receiving end, and they sound awesome, you can use these for ESSB audio, not quite a Kenwood (But then I'm biased) but truly superb.

If I was in the market for a new radio, this would be on my shopping list emoticon

They are really superb radios if you can get a good one that's been looked after. The receive is beautiful, twin VFO's, EDSP and enough knobs and buttons to keep you occupied for some time! I have one for HF use only and it's my pride and joy. Wouldn't sell [sign in to see URL] have the matching external speaker too, which does improve the sound.

Re: Yaesu FT1000MP

Not had the MP but have the 1000d and 2000d.
The MP was on my list till I took my sick 1000d to Geoff in Castle, he had quite a few in for repair and most were BIG repairs with parts costing loads - IF he could get them.
He recommended keeping my 1000d or look for a 2000d, witch is what I did.
Great radio but can be expensive if it goes wrong and some parts are not available any more.
Seen a few sell on Ebay quite cheap lately so may get a bargain and we all love those emoticon
