New antenna AMPRO-45 Metre 6.6 MHz HF MOBILE ANTENNA

Been a while since I bought a new antenna and thinking about this one as I really want to get into this band but static mobile.

Has anyone tried one if so how do you find them for tuning. I have a tri mag which I find helps.

Re: New antenna AMPRO-45 Metre 6.6 MHz HF MOBILE ANTENNA

Hello,

I use this antenna for 45m mobile. It works very well for a vertical on this band and have worked Southern England, Scotland, West Coast of Ireland and Europe, no problem.

I use it with my Sirio mag-mount via a 3/8 adaptor.

It is very narrow-banded and I rarely get the swr below 1.4. However, it is not a problem, as I've got the built-in atu on my Yaesu ft450d and I very rarely run more than 10w on this band.

Overall I think it is a good antenna, especially for that price.

73s John.
