Fisrt contact into Angola, second into Holland...

over the weekend. Andre 39AT102 Was coming in S2-S7 on the QSB Radio5.

Also a contact into that notoriously tricky DX location of Holland (from the UK anyway)

Only my second contact into Holland after pretty much working the world. I suspect the DX signals have no chance to refract back down to earth in that 150-250 miles F2 layer "dead zone". As such it was a nice contact to make. 195MS Hans - Groningen coming in an S2 thereabouts. I suspect it was sure if it was a tropo enhancement or bit of ducting.

Have you been on today? I put my rig on about 14:00 but it was as dead as a doornail. I've put it on now and it seems like I'm at the tail end of some lift. A lot about but only a few really strong stations.

Hi, no radio for the last few days. I get on there less these days but have high enthusiasm when I do get on as I like to try and get my antennas up as high as possible and really give myself the bess chance of decent contacts.

Even in the weak skip it is a rare day to not contact some overseas DX and I like working hilltop and long "ground wave" UK as well.
