posticon Channel 14 AM

Had a short QSO with a local operator on my old General Electric CB. It was brilliant! Thoroughly enjoyed using the little set, around 40 years old!

Brought back some memories for a short while of 35+ years ago when I used to have the same radio in my Fiat 850, with a retractable aerial (stealth in those days)

Love having it here in the shack fully working and looking like it would have all those years ago.

So 27125 AM any day all day for me emoticon

Thanks Sean btw, if you read this, for the indulgence, I always have it on when in the shack and listening on an old Silver rod I have emoticon

Re: Channel 14 AM

Excellent stuff.
Maybe I should fire up one of my old AM sets and see if anyone answers - I'm on high ground these days so have a fair range, plus continental skip isn't anything like it was in the late 70s / early 80s meaning I might actually get a reply!
