I get lots of pleasure using a cb radio to talk around the world....cheap and cheerful looks a nice radio, hope it gives good service.nondisclosed_email@example.com (cozzmik)Sat, 01 Oct 2011 04:57:47 +0000 Re: Ranger VR 9000 Voyagehttps://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p19340,from=rss#post19340https://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p19340,from=rss#post19340nice looking radio nondisclosed_email@example.com (porky69)Fri, 30 Sep 2011 19:32:45 +0000 Re: Ranger VR 9000 Voyagehttps://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p19317,from=rss#post19317https://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p19317,from=rss#post19317I have actually just baught one of these, havent poicked it up yet, but will let you know the verdict when ive used it for a while. I think it really is a class set, it feels and looks like a quality radio, it has good controls and a pukka digital readout. I only TX'ed once to test her and the report was incredible! "I'm not on my Icom" I said, no matter you sound as good as if you were was the reply. I have very limited experience of 10-11m specific radios. However, I would definately have one of these 3 out of 5 nondisclosed_email@example.com (yamanx1)Fri, 21 Nov 2008 21:44:42 +0000 Re: Ranger VR 9000 Voyagehttps://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p4243,from=rss#post4243https://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p4243,from=rss#post4243i think you can get these for £150-£170ish new, i paid £80 secondhand for mine and i love it. I get good audio reports and the sound coming in is good enough to dx whilst mobile, i use the astatic on mine but i imagine they sound pretty much like a cobra 148 etc. The only thing i have to moan about is that it drifts until warm, once warm its stable as you like and doesnt budge. It does get cold over night in my van so i expect coils shrink and stuff but once warm no drift at all. I have spoken with loads of people local and dx and think the radio works well(hooked up to my b300p)   i love this radio and wont be selling it soonnondisclosed_email@example.com (topbuzzuk)Fri, 21 Nov 2008 19:36:14 +0000 Re: Ranger VR 9000 Voyagehttps://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p4235,from=rss#post4235https://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p4235,from=rss#post4235some chimp on muppets tryin to sell one for 170notes.am i to be corrected in beliving this dude to be straight out the nut house or are these 20 quid better than a ranger 2950/2970? brent fb99 lincolnnondisclosed_email@example.com (26fb99)Thu, 20 Nov 2008 20:57:55 +0000 Ranger VR 9000 Voyagehttps://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p4181,from=rss#post4181https://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p4181,from=rss#post4181Ranger VR 9000 Voyage AM-SSB-FM-CW radio Upper and Lower Selectable Sideband 25 watts Output Power PEP 12 watts AM/CW Roger Beep On/Off Switch NB/ANL On/Off Switch 5 Digits Frequency Counter Frequency Counter On/Off Switch +10 KHz Switch S/SWR Meter SWR CAL and RF PWR Switch A through F Band Coverage Switch Fine/Coarse Switch Dual Echo nondisclosed_email@example.com (topbuzzuk)Mon, 17 Nov 2008 20:37:59 +0000
