a couple of things? (deltaforce & frequency counter)

firstly, what kind of price can i expect to sell a boxed deltaforce(in 95% nick) for on EBAY, and secondly my cobra 200 is 3kc off ( as expected)so as anyone got a frequency counter for sale(or borrow) so i can get it back on track. it would have been nice if they could have done it at the factory eh?

3khz is a hell of a lot to be drift dont you think?.I had both the mk1 & 2 revisions brand new from the factory when they first came out, both were about 1-2khz out on the display & i could'nt get on the zero's even though the display said i could, best just slap it one bay & get rid, aslong as your honest & say it needs a realignment some muppet will buy it then you have more funds to contribute to a decent hf set emoticon If you intend to keep it & get it realigned you will need a lab counter to set it up properly again with a service manual, not a zetagi toybox special as they are not accurate enough as you will need to connect it upto the test points stated in the service manual & make the relevant adjustments.

its a rev3, i dont want to sell it as i think it works as good as any cb based rig ive had over the last 30 odd years, its just stupid things that let it down ie, the 10khz button doesnt do a tap, its off frequency, theyre crap with the stock mic etc etc. they shold have failed the quality test really, instead they released them???? its only for the truck anyway.

Hi,did you buy this radio from cobraworxshopz? As far as i am aware Cobra the company that actually manufactured these did'nt actually bring out a rev3 as it was the non-affilated cobraworxshopz that were just bodging up rev2's just to get them off their shelves as this radio earn't a reputation as being a lemon in the cb community with the various issues etc.I even recall cobraworxshopz selling their supposed rev3 for ascheap as £179.99.
Also i did'nt like the rev2 coz you had to listen to yourself if you had the echo on & i felt the radio just felt cheap with the slack in the knobs etc.

no it was off bruce at DX CITY in the states, one of the last to come off the line. cobraworkshops didnt do it, the company itself have a list of mods, cobraworkshops just charge you for work listed on the manufacturers website.
you can do it all yourself easily.
i will try to find the makers website again and moan a bit!!

k, yeah both my mk1 & 2 models came of bruce when he first started selling them on e bay.
Not his fault really he was just a retailer, quite an embarrassment to the cobra name when they made superb rigs such as the 148 & 2000gtl models.

cobra thought it was a good idea to ask "MAXON" to make their new flagship model. how stupid can people be at times to save a couple of bucks?
