Re: Bit of practical today
No sense of adventure? Me? Right to prove you wrong I am going to use 11 watts tomorow so there! Oh dear, next setting is a whopping 15 watts, really need to bring this down a bit, dont want to go overboard now do I?
But seriously, on my course, the tutor said that I would be allowed to use 10watts at the aerial, but if I set the radio to 10 watts there is no way I would get the same at the aerial due to losses, so with no accurate way of testing output at the aerial I do have to turn up the power a wee bit dont I? Am pretty sure I do get at least 10 watts at the aerial with my chosen settigs!

Re: Bit of practical today
I think they are a sneaky lot, you dont seem to learn anything but all of a sudden you seem to know stuff you didnt before-be careful! I had quite a few questions in the exam that wernt covered, one was about a fuse, I worked out that the answer was a 6 amp fuse but never having seen a 6 amp fuse thought it was a trick question so answered it as a 5 amp fuse-wrong answer. Its a perfect world according to them so you can get a 6 amp fuse for your plug after all! B&Q or Homebase dont sell em though!
