This method costs money - doing it over the internet is free.
What is your situation - have you passed your Foundation exam and are now wanting a call sign?

No, slightly different
I had to apply by post because I had an old pass at city and guilds level which meant I could go straight for a full license but I had to pay for it to be issued

Ah - I see.
I wouldn't have thought it would take more than a couple of weeks though - any more than that and I'd be chasing them up.

I had the same prob, as when i done my M3 i was the 25 person in the country to do it, So there was a few years before i renewed. I think it only took a few weeks to turn up.
