Finally
Well i finally made the last payment on a brand fire new AT5555 and 25amp psu, And i cant get rid of this stupid big grin, every week i have been admiring it when i have took a payment in now its finally all mine. One question i would like to ask at the moment i have a 1/2 wave silver rod up but i have made a homebrew wire dipole which i just need to raise on the mast, Which antenna will give me the best results for DX'ing or will there be no difference. thanks in advance

Re: Finally
well you might find this hard to beleive but the wire dipole is propebly going to be about the same dont know how technical you are but basicly the wire 14 e.g 108 inch is a proper tune to the frequency and radio hence it will transmit full power out but a 1/5 wave is tuned by a coil in the boten hence you will never get a perfect tune to the 1/5 wave but it is a longer antena so it will giv a 0db gain but beleve it or not a 1/4 wave is also a 0db gain
