posticon 26FB1285 Power Supply question

Hi,
I have a new Intek HR5500 radio and two power supplies. one at 5Amps and another at 15 Amps.
The literature for the radio says it requires 9 amps max at 40w FM/SSB. Which one do I use?
Any input greatly appreciated.
I'm not setting up until Monday.
Regards
Jacko.

15 amps no question emoticon

Do not try and combine the two, each will use different hz frequencies, you may damage your kit. Trust me I know, I once tried to combine two DC supplies with bad results emoticon

W=V*A

An important electrical equation.(Don't relate this to RF emoticon )

Hi,
Many thanks for the prompt reply.
I wasn't thinking of combining both supplies, my main concern was that the 15Amp was too much for the radio.
I will heed your advice and use the bigger supply. Just happy that I'm not having to buy another.
Many thanks and 73's
Jacko
