Hello to all from 26FB46
Hello everyone,
Firstly I would like to congratulate you for a great website. I've had a good luck round and I wish there had been something like this for me years ago. Thanks Yamanx1 and the admins for all you work
I am returning to this hobby after a break for a few years. I have been a DX'er on 11m for about 15 years and used to operate EC band aroun 6.650Mhz about 10 years ago. Callsigns were 26GET01 and 26WYB01. I gave it all break over the past couple of years but I am trying to get back in to it. Trying is the operative word though!
At my new QTH there is no local activity at all. 11m is so dead I even considered taking the ham foundation test (yes I have become that desperate). Then I listened to 20m and remembered why I should not bother.
What makes it worse is that my neighbours T.V/internet hub is absolutely killing me. I have 20db of QRM when they are home. I even get it from my own plasma T.V! All this make it almost impossible so I am limited as to when I can use it.
I am lucky though that my new QTH is only a small ride from a famous DX spot which is very high up and overlooks the whole county (don't want to give too much away for obvious reasons).
Hope to cath up with you all soon.
73's Good DX

Re: Hello to all from 26FB46
hello and welcome to the foxbravo group, lots of people gettin back into the radio. try not to let the interference put you off, quiet a few get out on the hills. if you did your ham part 1 you could complain to ofcom about the interference you get, just a thought. i'm just startin mine to cover me for all my radio gear, not so much to get on there and talk. anyway enjoy your stay and i hope the skip picks up a bit

Re: Hello to all from 26FB46
Hi '46 and welcome!
Good to see yet another op returning.
Regarding the interference you are getting, this is becoming a very serious problem for many - it wipes me out 24 hours a day making operation from home impossible.
Not wishing to hijack a 'welcome' thread, but the following group has been founded to oppose these power line networking hubs and try to get them outlawed - please give them your support, and report the interference to your SWL activities to Ofcom:

Re: Hello to all from 26FB46
Thanks everybody for the messages and luck forward to making contacts soon (though maybe not that soon, charged my 85A battery at the weekend to go up to the hilltop but it seems the cells have gone and it wouldn't hold charge). More problems ARRRGHHH!!!

Re: Hello to all from 26FB46
