Yeasu ft920


Hello! can anyone help please. i have a yaesu ft920 hf/50mhz radio i would love to wideband it to tx on 11meters i have tried mods dk & found a mod but the mod didnt work.so if anyone knows of one please let me know cheers de martin 163fb001.

many thanks i lookforward to hearing from you. i know on the american ft920 there is a mars mod that can be done but iam not so sure on the european ft920s got this cracking radio i hope i can use it!one day cheers martin!again thanks!

I've worked people on 920's on 11M so it can be done!!! I just don't know how emoticon sorry

Remove top and bottom cover.


Remove DSP unit and remove or cut green wire that connected between R2544 and Q2510. See the picture shown in below.


Replace DSP unit.


Press and hold STEP and LOCK buttons and POWER ON.


Enter 1 9 8 4 1 2 9 then press ENT.


Test the radio for correct operation.


Turn the radio off and replace top and bottom cover.


The modification is now completed.

thank you yamanx1 have tried the mod but it still will not work. so i have set it back to how i had it.I will get it done in the near future.again many thanks for your time and effort and hard work looking for the mod which is the same mod as the mars mod in the usa it could have worked never mind again thank's for trying cheers mate 73's martin 163fb001

j'ai un FT-920 cela fait plusieurs mois que je recherche la modif pour passer en mode TX les 27 Mhz ( Cibie ), j'ai trouvé votre conseil, il
est parfait maintenant ma radio est en TX sur les 27 Mhz je suis heureux. C'est super simple. Un très grand merci,
