Heres my vid of it... I use it almost daily on 40, It handles the legal limit 400 watts no probs, and it tunes from around 7.050 to 7.200 with out the need of a matcher of tuner... vswr risses a bit at the band edges but at 7.100 the vswr hardly moves... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0f5Z5UuV_A Marknondisclosed_email@example.com (madmark1)Tue, 05 Nov 2013 07:47:27 +0000 Re: 45 meter Loaded dipolehttps://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p23919,from=rss#post23919https://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p23919,from=rss#post23919I made one of these some time ago and found it to be a rather poor antenna, after some alteration to the coils (spaceing the wire at approx 2mm gaps and securing with electrical tape) it worked better but its still a compromise... A half wave inverted v with the ends bent down will work much better and will not take up to much room...nondisclosed_email@example.com (cozzmik)Wed, 21 Aug 2013 05:45:57 +0000 Re: 45 meter Loaded dipolehttps://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p23894,from=rss#post23894https://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p23894,from=rss#post23894great link thank you nondisclosed_email@example.com (porky69)Fri, 09 Aug 2013 21:55:11 +0000 Re: 45 meter Loaded dipolehttps://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p23892,from=rss#post23892https://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p23892,from=rss#post23892Short Dipol for 40 Meter: http://www.qsl.net/g3pto/shortant.htmlnondisclosed_email@example.com (13FB006)Fri, 09 Aug 2013 09:11:26 +0000 Re: 45 meter Loaded dipolehttps://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p23888,from=rss#post23888https://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p23888,from=rss#post23888looks great nondisclosed_email@example.com (porky69)Thu, 08 Aug 2013 21:58:07 +0000 Re: 45 meter Loaded dipolehttps://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p23885,from=rss#post23885https://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p23885,from=rss#post23885...and works?nondisclosed_email@example.com (13FB006)Thu, 08 Aug 2013 20:10:32 +0000 45 meter Loaded dipolehttps://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p14615,from=rss#post14615https://bfreebandingtalktheplanet.runboard.com/p14615,from=rss#post14615Found this link on the web, I will knock one up and see how it works. http://www.mccormick.uk.com/40%20meter%20shortened%20dipole/index.htmlnondisclosed_email@example.com (26FB332)Sat, 07 Aug 2010 10:27:57 +0000
