Do I? Or dont I?

Better the devil you know?

I've got probably one of the very best Icom IC 735 radio's there is. I have the PSU and the automatic ATU which completes the line up. The audio is second to none in fact its as good as some very elaborate audio set ups.

I have no complaints what-so-ever, it does everything I need in a HF radio, everything. It has 0-100watts, fantastic audio, 0-30mhz TX/RX it has a good LCD display, it has done hardly any work, I was the first person ever to remove the lid as it still had the waranty tape in place. I only did that to open the TX up.

The filtering is superb, the size, the controls, the featurs, the quality, the recieve, well the recieve is as good as any radio there ever was, the, the blimmin all of it is just near perfect.

Why change it? Why indeed.

Well an Icom IC 736 has come up. Yep the next model, and even that is nearly twenty years old. Its reveiews are similar and it has 6m and a built in ATU, and I want one emoticon

Its a risk though as my 735 line up is the best, the very best and this other radio may be a lemon? emoticon

So do I sell or do I stick?

you will never know unless you try, i imagine the other radio is fine and will work just as well as your current one. it all depends on how much you really like the 735? can you test the new radio ?

If it Aint broke, don't fix it, and if you do, don't tell anyone you touched it
