Re: April DX for 11 metres
No TX?
Good though that you can hear some prop, I've been tied up all day so no DX for me until later, hopefully still some conditions
Paddy made some DX with 1 division, good stuff, I wonder if he was mobile of HB?

Re: April DX for 11 metres
I thought you had the Tristar fixed?
Good to hear some northern Europe this afternoon, I have'nt had very long on the radio today, but good for 21, 47 division
21 division were 5/9+20db for a while, the prop didnt fade it was like someone just switched it off! Had some good qso's though and a little help from Sweden with my audio

Re: April DX for 11 metres
I just fired up Ye Olde FRG-7 for a flick around, discovered S9 of crap, traced it to the bloody broadband router and turned the thing off off.
Almost instantly got a squeal from upstairs from one of the teenage daughters, who it seems was in mid-'QSO' with a friend. Oops...
Anyhow, router back on, FRG off.
Sometimes I want to bang my head against the wall harder than I usually do.
We didn't get this computer generated hash in the 80s did we??

Re: April DX for 11 metres
i had bad experience with an old hygain 5 sideband rig bought from a t***er around stratford upon avon area, it seemed to work but squelch would not work so after a lot of tooing and throwing i backed it [only after about 10 e mails that got worse as time went on] i put proper complaint into paypal and managed to get a refund, still lost £15 in postage but it was the principal more than anything! i think that rocket could fix it but dont know if you are near enough to them if not i am sure there is someone closish to you for a repair job...
heard an irish sation today strong and clear, i think he was in conversation with usa also lots of french stations, have tried sq sq but no luck yet, still trying!
