Moxon for 11m
Here is my newly built (not quite finished yet) 11m moxon from Vortex antenna's.
It is super heavy duty, and I am impressed with how it came with everything including metallic grease for the overlaps, a bag of spares, and decent instructions.
The only problem is, my mrs saying "I thought you said it was only going to be a tiny thing" .....

Re: Moxon for 11m
These really work well, look at Dave 163FB225, he has worked just about everywhere and gets out extremely well on one of these.

Re: Moxon for 11m
It's nearly there.
Not being a huge wage earner, it has taken me a few weeks to get everything together, but I have new coax, plugs, an air choke former, a support bearing, and repaired a rotator to use (although I am going to wait till 18th of this month when I am hoping to get a brand new one once they are back in stock).
Can't wait, although may have to wait till next winter now for the long skip as it seems to be near the end ... typical !

Re: Moxon for 11m
I have read about your struggle in getting it tuned. It was nice of Steve to come over and sort it out. They do work very well and you will get a lot of good contacts form it. It will shrink in size once it is up in the air.
I hope yo feel the money invested is worth while, it is bullet proof and will sit out the gales.

Re: Moxon for 11m
visited my friend today and he had the vortex moxon set up , and i thought looks pretty ok and neat , then i had a go using it on the AM mid band channels and using low power had no problem working stations in the states , and then thought with this not being a massive antenna ive got space in my attic to put one of these altho it will be pointing westwards permantly il be happy if it works the same as his was working ,, so im going to set about making one out of copper wire in the attic
73`s for now all
