just get a notch filter for the tv al ,cos bet ya bottom dollar the coax on the tv is crap or the digi box is amping your signal.

I've got a Midland portopak, it works ok, but the speaker mic is poor and there are some LED bars gone emoticon

Still keep it in the shack thoug, its the only FM CB I have emoticon

I have the portapack for ukfm and the other one is mid band only. Want a handheld 80 to save a bit of space in my bag. Dont use FM day to day but enjoy hilltoping now and then, good distances from up there!

The new shack, up and running with electric and heating, A99 only for a short while, full size g5rv, 3 eli beam and wire for 45m to go up as soon as possible, my very first purpose built shack, only small but its all mine!

very nice, will be doing something similar shortly, havent decided whether to good for wood or breezeblocks (better insulator for noise and heat) Mrs didnt look too chuffed though, "what have you done to my garden"?

The wood is thick and is good at keeping the heat in, saying that though it still gets cold in there in the evening, might have used breeze blocks - if I could build with them (has trouble with lego!)
My mrs got this shack for me and helped me build it, think she wants me out the house?
Just need a few hours spare to get aerials sorted and then some time to spend in there, it`ll come.

Its kickstarted me into getting the builder round to quote for breezeblocks or thermoblocks. coming this evening. Good to see the Mrs digging in, was thinking about putting the Mrs under mine. emoticon

Its great having a shack outside, away from everyone and the TV etc. emoticon

I'm going to spend a bit of time trying to sound proof mine a bit better, as I can get a bit excited sometimes when calling rare DXCC's emoticon For instance, I get too loud emoticon
