Towbar mount for mast????
Anyone mounted a mast on a towbar, I seen a pic of one but cant remember where I seen it now. Thought it would be easier to set up than a drive on one when by yourself. Wasnt thinking of a big mast (not yet anyway)I have a few poles here that slot together and want to mount them on the towbar. Is there something available or is it a DIY job, dont have a welder but can lend one if needed.

Hi Al,
Ave u ad a look at this site?
Maybe you could make up on of those ball mount clamps yourself? you may even be able to pick up the "L" shaped part ready made just to Drill?

Cheers Tony, have made one, was going to weld it yesterday but to many cars in the garage, couldnt get near the welder! Its just a tube that a pole slots into, then the mast fits over it with a join in the middle. Its only about 8ft long but it will get the A99 up above the car. Will take a pic when its done (if it works!)

Have had to do a real bodge job on it for now, just to try it. Used glue and cable ties!lol Try it tomorow if it holds long enough and its not windy.
