I abandoned the homemade beam as tit was too cumbersome, but I was determined to put one up today, quick trip over to Radioworld and hey presto!

Well the wind came, it blew all night, the brief glimpses I caught of the antenna in the dark during a sleepless night showed it moving around all over the place.
Got up this morning, and its still there as if nothing had ever happened.
